Job Title: Retail Security Officer

As their retail estate continues to evolve, we are seeking Quality Retail Security Officers who can represent this new direction—professional, proactive, and customer-focused individuals ready to support a revolutionary retail environment.

Location: Newcastle, NE1

Hours: On average, 40 hours per week

Shift patterns: Mixed shifts over a 3 week rolling rota

Pay: £13 per hour

Start: Immediate start for the right candidate!

About the role:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring the premises.
• Providing a visible deterrent within the store against theft, anti-social behaviour, violence and criminal activity to create and support a safe shopping environment.
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Engage with police and other security personnel to improve service levels – this may include crime partnership meetings, shop watch schemes and police meetings.
• Deal with confrontational situations in a calm, sensitive and professional manner.

About you:

• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Professional in approach, with a balanced sense of judgement, and a keen eye for detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
• Knowledge of SCONE.
• A valid SIA licence (DS).
• A full five-year checkable employment history.
