Job Role: Environmental Enforcement Officer

Hours: On average 40 hours per week, shifts as per site rota. Monday-Friday, 08:00am- 16:00pm with rotational weekends.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour.

What the role is:

The role involves patrolling five designated hospital sites to promote and enforce no-smoking and litter-free policies. The officer will provide a visible presence across hospital grounds, educating patients, visitors, and staff on site rules, encouraging compliance, and taking appropriate action where necessary to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol five identified “hot spot” hospital sites to deter smoking and littering on hospital grounds.
  • Educate patients, visitors, and staff on hospital no-smoking and litter policies in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Encourage voluntary compliance through engagement and clear communication.
  • Address incidents of non-compliance and take proportionate enforcement action in line with hospital procedures.
  • Monitor repeat problem areas and report trends or concerns to management.
  • Record patrols, interactions, and incidents accurately in line with reporting requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital staff and security teams to support a safe and clean environment.

Communication: Express information clearly and concisely to ensure understanding.

Flexibility: Adapt to change and work effectively in various situations and weather conditions.

Learning and Development: Participate in our training course to gain insight into daily duties, current legislation, communication, and interaction aspects of the role, earning a recognized qualification in environmental awareness.

You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately.

You will receive your pay weekly on a Friday from HIVE 360 Payroll Services Provider.

You will not be working for Kingdom Service Group directly, although will have the opportunity to request your temporary agreement to be transferred to a Kingdom Contract in the future.
