Environmental Enforcement Officer

Location: W6 area.

Salary: £13.97 per hour

Hours:This is a full time 40 hour role, covering early and late shifts on 5 out of 7 days, including weekends.

About The Role:

Kingdom Local Authority Support is recruiting an Environmental Enforcement Officer to patrol public areas across the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fullham. You will enforce environmental legislation and issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to offenders, helping to keep local communities clean, safe, and compliant.

Key Duties:

• Patrol designated borough hotspots to identify and address environmental and regulatory offences, including fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, and illegal street trading.
• Gather high-quality evidence using body-worn video, photographic evidence, and witness statements, in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.
• Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) in line with current legislation and council policy.
• Conduct interviews under caution in compliance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE).
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date case records and enforcement documentation.
• Prepare cases for prosecution and attend court to provide clear, professional evidence when required.
• Deliver consistent enforcement activity in line with performance expectations while maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.
