We are seeking a strategic, commercially sharp, quality‑driven bid leader to shape and lead this critical function.


The Role

As Head of Tendering Centre, you will own the entire tendering lifecycle, driving strategy, elevating standards, inspiring a high‑performing bid team and delivering compelling, solutions‑focused, commercially robust tenders that win and retain business across the public and private sectors.

You will champion structure, pace, innovation and consistency, turning complex requirements into clear, credible and competitive proposals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end tendering process with rigour, quality and operational excellence.
  • Develop and steer winning bid strategies, win themes, value propositions and solutions.
  • Mentor, manage and develop bid professionals, creating a centre of excellence.
  • Review and approve submissions to ensure compliance, clarity and competitive edge.
  • Build and maintain process frameworks, content libraries, CRM usage and tender portals.
  • Provide board‑level reporting on pipeline, KPIs, win rates and performance insights.
  • Integrate innovation, ESG, social value and AI‑enhanced approaches into bid solutions.
  • Maintain a group-wide retender calendar and ensure robust keep‑process governance.
  • Recruit, develop and retain top talent within the Tendering Centre.

What You Bring

Experience and Capability

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in bid management, tendering or proposals.
  • Background in multi‑service, facilities or service‑led environments.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Excellent understanding of tender portals, procurement frameworks and compliance.
  • Exceptional writing capability with commercial and strategic insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management across senior leadership and operational teams.
  • APMP certification (or working towards it).
