An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Kingdom Cleaning as a Hands on Supervisor at our client’s modern corporate offices and training complex, situated on Barrow Dock.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Cleaning Service Supervisor to oversee our cleaning staff and ensure high standards of cleanliness across our facilities. The ideal candidate will manage staff schedules, conduct training, perform quality inspections, and maintain inventory to support efficient and effective cleaning operations.
Key Responsibilities:
A hands-on Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of employees and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Their duties include:
Overseeing daily team activities: They manage the daily operations of their team, ensuring that tasks are allocated and completed to standard.
Monitoring performance: They monitor employee performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Supporting staff development: They provide coaching, conduct basic performance reviews, and produce straightforward operational reports.
Maintaining operational standards: They ensure that all team members adhere to established policies and procedures.
Acting as the principal point of contact: They serve as the main point of contact between frontline staff and senior management.
Resolving routine staffing and operational issues: They are proactive in resolving routine staffing and operational issues promptly.
Providing coaching and training: They identify training needs and provide or arrange for training to ensure team members' skills are up-to-date.
Ensuring compliance: They ensure that all company policies and legal regulations are followed, mitigating risks and safeguarding the organization's integrity.
Supervisor will manage staff holidays and sickness. (Supported by there Line Manager)
A hands-on Supervisor should possess strong leadership and team coordination skills, analytical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to motivate staff while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. They should also have Supervisory experience as well as a solid understanding of the company's policies and procedures.
Qualificaions and Skills
Keen attention to detail to maintain consistent cleaning standards.
Strong organizational skills for managing staff, schedules, and supplies.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and clients.
Experience in supervising cleaning staff preferred.
