Retail Security Relief Officer – Tesco Partnership
Location: Tesco Consett Genesis, Genesis Way, Consett, DH8 5XP, England
Pay: £13.72 per hour / Weekly Pay (every Friday)
Hours: Flexible contract – 0–48 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: Varied start and finish times, including early, late, and weekends
About the Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is expanding its Retail Security team in Consett. We are seeking confident, professional, and reliable Security Officers to join our relief team.
This flexible role is based within a modern, customer-focused retail environment and is ideal for individuals looking to contribute to a high-performing and supportive organisation while delivering excellent security and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrolling the store to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues
- Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour
- Monitoring premises and responding to incidents
- Completing accurate reports and recording observations
- Working closely with Tesco staff and fellow officers
- Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
What We’re Looking For
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision required)
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, confident, and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail and sound judgement
- Previous security experience desirable but not essential
- Own transport preferred due to flexible shift patterns
- Candidates must not be students

Additional Information
- You will be required to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
- You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
- Pay is provided weekly (every Friday) via HIVE 360 Payroll Services
- This role is initially on a temporary basis and not directly employed by Kingdom Service Group
- There may be the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent Kingdom contract in the future
- This is a relief/flexi role, so full flexibility is required
