Location: Newham Council Depot – Folkestone Road, E6 6DJ
Pay: £14.80 per hour / Weekly Pay
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts: 4 on / 4 off
• 07:00 – 15:00
• 11:00 – 19:00
Contract: Temporary (Agency)
Requirement: Own transport preferred


About the Role

We’re recruiting Environmental Enforcement Officers to support Newham Council, helping to keep the borough clean, safe, and welcoming.

Working on behalf of Kingdom, you’ll be on the frontline tackling environmental crime, engaging with the public, and improving local spaces for residents and businesses.


What You’ll Be Doing
• Carrying out patrolling and enforcement across the borough
• Investigating environmental offences such as fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles
• Enforcing regulations around littering, graffiti, and waste compliance
• Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and conducting follow-ups
• Gathering evidence and preparing case files for legal action
• Using surveillance equipment where required
• Engaging with residents and businesses to promote compliance
• Supporting legal proceedings, including attending court when required


What We’re Looking For
• Confident communicator with strong people skills
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexible approach to shifts, including weekends
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Full 5-year checkable employment history
• Basic DBS required
• Ability to pass vetting checks
• Own transport preferred
