Kingdom Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our valued partner, Poundstretcher, for a Retail Security Officer to join the team at their Acocks Green store in Birmingham.

If you hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence, have excellent customer service skills, and are looking for a permanent role with a reputable security provider, we'd love to hear from you.

Hours & Shift Pattern

30 Hours Per Week

Days of Work:

• Monday: 10:00 - 18:00
• Wednesday: 10:00 - 18:00
• Friday: 10:00 - 18:00
• Sunday: 10:00 - 16:00

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

About the Role

As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a visible security presence within the store
• Conducting site patrols and surveillance
• Incident reporting and management
• Completing Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries
• Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
• Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
• Supporting store management and staff
• Building positive relationships with customers and visitors
• Maintaining strong tenant and customer relations
• Problem solving and conflict resolution
• Ensuring all security procedures are followed

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Own transport is essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A professional and confident approach
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• A full five-year checkable employment history
• Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
