Retail Security Officer (16384)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Security Officer to join Kingdom Services Group Ltd.

When: We’re looking to get the right person in to the team with an immediate start!

Where: Southsea, Portsmouth PO5 area

Hours: On average 48 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Monday 07.00 - 15.00, Tuesday and  Wednesday 14.00 pm - 22.00 pm, Thursday and Friday 12:00pm - 20:00pm and Saturday 09:00am - 17:00pm.

Hourly Pay Rate: £13.56 per hour

About the role:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring the premises
• Providing a visible deterrent within the store against theft, anti-social behaviour, violence and criminal activity to create and support a safe shopping environment
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Engage with police and other security personnel to improve service levels – this may include crime partnership meetings, shop watch schemes and police meetings
• Deal with confrontational situations in a calm, sensitive and professional manner

About you:

• Excellent communication & customer service skills
• Professional in approach, with a balanced sense of judgement, and a keen eye for detail
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
• Knowledge of SCONE
• A valid SIA licence or applied for
• A full five-year checkable employment history
