Pay: £16.35 per hour

About the Role
As a Store Detective, you will play a vital role in protecting people, property, and profit by preventing theft, fraud, and other losses within the store environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring store activity to identify and prevent theft, fraud, and other loss-related incidents.
- Conducting plain-clothes surveillance to detect suspicious behaviour.
- Apprehending offenders in line with company procedures and legal guidelines.
- Gathering and preserving evidence, including CCTV footage and witness statements, to support investigations and potential prosecutions.
- Completing accurate, detailed, and timely incident and investigation reports.
- Working closely with store management and security teams to reduce shrinkage and improve loss prevention outcomes.
- Providing crime prevention advice, guidance, and support to store colleagues.
- Liaising with police and external agencies when required.
- Maintaining a visible presence when necessary to deter criminal activity.
- Dealing with difficult situations calmly, safely, and professionally.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and the code of conduct at all times.
About you:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, confident, and calm under pressure, with strong judgement and attention to detail
- Previous experience in loss prevention or a similar role is desirable, but not essential
- Holds a valid SIA Licence
- Able to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
- Own transport required
