ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Location: West Thurrock – RM20 3EE
Pay: £13.97 per hour / Weekly Pay
Hours: 40 hours per week + overtime (0.5 hour unpaid lunch)
Shifts: Between 07:00 – 21:00 (including weekends as required)
Contract: Flexible / Temporary
Requirement: Own transport required


About the Role
Kingdom Local Authority Support is looking for confident, professional, and proactive Environmental Enforcement Officers to support the local community in West Thurrock.

This is a field-based role where you will help reduce environmental crime, promote compliance, and improve public spaces by enforcing local regulations and educating the public.

You will play a key role in maintaining public health, safety, and environmental standards.


Key Responsibilities
• Patrolling assigned areas to identify environmental offences
• Enforcing regulations relating to littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, and waste management
• Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) where appropriate
• Investigating incidents and gathering evidence, including witness statements and reports
• Responding to complaints from members of the public
• Conducting follow-up visits to ensure compliance
• Preparing case files and supporting legal action where required
• Using surveillance equipment where necessary
• Working closely with local authorities, businesses, and residents
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

• Previous enforcement, security, or customer-facing experience (desirable)
