Anti-Social Behaviour Officer 

Location: Birmingham City Council House – Victoria Square, B1 1BB
Pay: £14.50 per hour 
Shifts: Various hours and shifts will include covering holidays, sickness, and periods of increased demand.Must be flexible to work across the service operating hours of 06:00 to 00:00.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s ASB Enforcement Team. to join a multi skilled innovative enforcement team. The role has a variety of responsibilities under the ASB umbrella such as engaging with people begging, rough sleeping, street drinking and behaviour that is causing a negative effect on businesses or premises mainly the train station which include the community who work, live in and visit the area. Provide Help and support to people that require it by directing them to the support services available.

This is a high profile and rewarding role that will help make a real difference to the lives of those who experience anti-social behaviour when visiting the city.


What You’ll Be Doing
• Patrolling designated areas around Birmingham Train Station.
• Supporting members of the public and offering assistance where needed
• Working alongside emergency services when required
• Liaising with licensed venues to monitor activity and identify issues
• Gathering and sharing intelligence on local trends and concerns
• Promoting a safe, respectful, and enjoyable night-time environment


What We’re Looking For
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, professional, and confident in challenging situations
• Awareness of public safety and community engagement
• Ability to work evenings and night shifts
• Previous experience in security, community safety, or similar roles (desirable)
