Security Support Officer (Relief Cover)

Location: Selby (YO8 area)
Pay: £14.18 per hour / Weekly Pay (every Friday)
Hours: Average 40 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: 06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00 (Days, Nights & Weekends) plus Monday–Friday 06:00–14:00 / 10:00–18:00
Requirement: Must hold valid SIA licences and have own vehicle with full UK driving licence


About the Role

Kingdom Group is looking for a professional and reliable Security Support Officer to join our team at a site in the Selby area.

This is a varied and dynamic role where you will provide a strong and visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment while supporting site operations.


Key Responsibilities

• Operating gatehouse, weighbridge, and CCTV systems
• Conducting regular and random patrols of the site and perimeter
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors
• Monitoring premises and responding to incidents and emergencies
• Completing accurate reports and recording observations
• Carrying out vehicle searches, mobile patrols, and foot patrols
• Supporting site operations and management when required
• Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally


What We’re Looking For

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
• Valid SIA CCTV Licence (essential)
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Proven experience in security, including gatehouse and CCTV duties
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good IT skills
• Excellent attention to detail and observation skills
• Knowledge of site security procedures and public safety
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports
• Flexible approach and available at short notice

Additional Information

• You will be required to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
• You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
• Pay is provided weekly (every Friday) via HIVE 360 Payroll Services
• This role is initially on a temporary basis and not directly employed by Kingdom Service Group
• There may be the opportunity in the future to transfer onto a permanent Kingdom contract
• Start date: ASAP
• This role involves a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts as per rota
