Retail Support Security Officer – Tesco Partnership (Relief Cover)
Location: York (YO30 area)
Pay: £13.47 per hour / Weekly Pay (every Friday)
Hours: 0–48 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: 06:00–15:00 / 15:00–00:00
Requirement: Must hold a valid SIA Licence and have own vehicle (no public transport)
About the Role
Kingdom Group, a key partner to Tesco, is expanding its Retail Security team in the York area. We are looking for confident, professional, and reliable Security Officers to join our team.
This role offers flexibility across varying hours and is ideal for individuals who are proactive and committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming retail environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Patrolling stores to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues
• Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour
• Monitoring premises and responding to incidents
• Completing accurate reports and recording observations
• Working as part of a team to support customer and operational requirements
• Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
What We’re Looking For
• Valid SIA Licence
• Full 5-year checkable work history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, confident, and reliable approach
• Good attention to detail and sound judgement
• Previous security experience desirable but not essential
• Own transport is essential

Additional Information
• You will be required to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
• You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
• Pay is provided weekly (every Friday) via HIVE 360 Payroll Services
• This role is initially on a temporary basis and not directly employed by Kingdom Service Group
• There may be the opportunity in the future to transfer onto a permanent Kingdom contract
