Retail Security Officer – Tesco Partnership

About the Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is looking for a professional and reliable Retail Security Officer to join our team at the Consett Genesis store.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues. You’ll act as a visible deterrent, respond to incidents, and support store operations while delivering excellent customer service and upholding the Kingdom brand.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular patrols of the store to ensure safety and security
• Provide a strong and visible deterrent against theft and anti-social behaviour
• Monitor store activity and respond to incidents effectively
• Complete accurate reports and maintain clear records
• Support Tesco colleagues and contribute to smooth store operations
• Handle challenging situations calmly, professionally, and confidently
Requirements
• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding required)
• Full 5-year checkable work history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, reliable, and confident approach
• Good observation skills and sound judgement
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Previous security experience desirable but not essential
