The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning & LAS Scheduling Team Leader to lead the day-to-day scheduling operation across our Cleaning and LAS contracts.
This is a fast-paced operational role responsible for ensuring contracts are fully staffed, colleagues are deployed safely and compliantly, and client requirements are consistently met. You will provide hands-on leadership to the scheduling team while driving service excellence, scheduling accuracy, colleague welfare and operational performance.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, calm under pressure and confident managing multiple priorities while leading a team in a busy scheduling environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and motivate the Cleaning & LAS Scheduling Team.
- Oversee live and future workforce planning to ensure all contracts are appropriately staffed.
- Ensure only trained, inducted and contract-compliant colleagues are deployed.
- Manage shift cover, absences, holidays, cancellations and last-minute staffing requirements.
- Escalate staffing risks, shortages and service challenges to Contract Managers and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues, clients, subcontractors and internal departments.
- Support colleague welfare through regular contact, guidance and issue resolution.
- Monitor scheduling accuracy, compliance standards and service delivery performance.
- Coordinate approved subcontractor usage when required.
- Produce and support reporting requirements, including KPI reporting, payroll processing, invoice reconciliation and operational activity reporting.
- Promote a professional, solution-focused culture within the team.
- Support the delivery of excellent customer service and strong client relationships.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within scheduling, rostering, workforce planning, service desk, control room or a similar operational environment.
- Strong experience using scheduling systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Proven ability to lead or supervise a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and resolve staffing challenges quickly.
- Understanding of compliance requirements and the importance of deploying appropriately trained colleagues.
- Customer-focused with a professional and positive approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service levels.
