Retail Security Officer – Morrisons, Portobello Road 

Salary: £12.21 per hour | Hours: Average 35-45 per week | Location: Edinburgh, EH8 area

About the Role:

As a Retail Security Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping both customers and staff safe. Your responsibilities will include:

• Patrolling and monitoring the store to maintain a secure environment
• Acting as a visible deterrent against theft or other incidents
• Completing detailed reports of observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Responding calmly and professionally to any challenging situations
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer and team needs are met

Working hours:

This role requires availability for the following shifts: Thursday: 11:00–22:00/ Friday: 10:30–22:00/ Saturday: 10:30–22:00/ Sunday: 08:00–20:00

Start Date: We're looking to get the right person in the team asap!

About you: 

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Professional, observant, and able to exercise good judgment
• Confident in communication and excellent at providing customer service
• Experienced in a security role (desirable, not essential)
• Holding a valid SIA Licence (or in the process of obtaining one)
• Able to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
• Own transport is preferred
