Location: Tesco Bar Hill, Cambridge, CB23 8EL
Pay Rate: £13.72 per hour
Hours: 36+ hours per week
Working Days: Monday to Sunday, working on a flexible rota
Shift Patterns: 06:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 00:00
Requirement: Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence essential

About the Role

Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a professional, customer-focused, and reliable Retail Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Bar Hill.

In this role, you will provide a visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors. You will play a key role in reducing stock loss, preventing anti-social behaviour, and supporting the store team while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular store patrols to maintain safety and security.
• Act as a visible deterrent against theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour.
• Monitor store activity and respond appropriately to incidents.
• Support colleagues in maintaining a safe retail environment.
• Complete accurate incident reports and associated documentation.
• Handle challenging situations professionally and confidently.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers when required.
• Liaise effectively with store management and local authorities when necessary.

What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable, and confident approach.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Full 5-year checkable employment history.
• Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and unsocial hours.
• Must have own vehicle and transport.
• Must be willing and able to cover other Tesco stores across the Cambridge area when required.
• Must be comfortable working late evening shifts.

Working Hours

Candidates must be fully flexible and available to work across the following shifts:

• 06:00 to 15:00
• 15:00 to 00:00

Weekend working is required, and successful candidates will be expected to cover the base store as well as provide support to other stores within the Cambridge area when required.
