Hours & Shift Pattern

30 Hours Per Week

Days of Work:

• Monday: 11:00 - 19:00
• Wednesday: 11:00 - 19:00
• Friday: 11:00 - 19:00
• Sunday: 10:00 - 16:00

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

About the Role

As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service. You will provide a highly visible security presence, help reduce stock loss, deter theft and anti-social behaviour, and support the store team in creating a safe shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a visible security presence within the store
• Conducting internal and external patrols
• Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
• Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
• Completing Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries and incident reports
• Monitoring store activity and identifying potential security risks
• Supporting store management and staff when required
• Delivering excellent customer service to customers and visitors
• Ensuring all site security procedures are followed
• Maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Own transport is essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A professional and confident approach
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• A full five-year checkable employment history
• Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
