About the Role

Kingdom is looking to recruit an experienced and professional Colleague Centre Advisor to join our Colleague Centre at our Head Office in Newton-le-Willows.

The Colleague Centre Advisor is responsible for providing expert Employee Relations and colleague support across the business, ensuring company policies and procedures are applied consistently, fairly and in line with current employment legislation. The role manages a broad range of colleague matters from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and long-term sickness cases, while supporting organisational change initiatives such as restructures and redundancies.

Working as part of the Colleague Centre, you will partner with managers and stakeholders across the business to provide professional guidance and support on employee relations matters. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, promoting best practice and helping to create a positive colleague experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Provide advice and guidance on company policies and procedures to all levels of the business.
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance and third-party removal processes from start to finish.
  • Take ownership of long-term sickness and absence management cases.
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, ensuring consistency and legal compliance.
  • Promote a positive Employee Relations culture across the business.
  • Coach and support stakeholders in delivering best practice approaches to people management.

Change Management

  • Work with key stakeholders and departments to support organisational change initiatives.
  • Assist with restructures, redundancies and business change programmes.
  • Ensure all change activities are managed in line with legislation and company procedures.

Administration

  • Manage employee relations casework and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to general colleague and management queries.
  • Complete ad-hoc administration requests and reporting requirements.
  • Support the Head of Colleague Centre with projects and business initiatives.

General Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a HR, People or Office Management role.
  • Working knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • A full five-year checkable employment history.
  • Minimum of two employment references.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory personal credit check.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience using HR management systems.
  • Other relevant professional qualifications.
