Shift Pattern

• 42 hours per week
• 4 On / 4 Off rotation
• Day shifts: 06:00 – 18:00

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer to join the team at BCA Bedford, a busy vehicle auction site. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a professional and reliable individual who is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, customers, and vehicles.

As part of your duties, you will conduct site patrols using a company vehicle and play a key role in protecting the site while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and monitor site access and egress
• Conduct regular patrols of the site using a company vehicle
• Ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors, vehicles, and premises
• Respond to incidents and report security concerns appropriately
• Complete site logs, reports, and all required documentation accurately
• Deal professionally with visitors, contractors, and site personnel
• Support conflict resolution where required
• Maintain high standards of customer service at all times
• Act as a first responder to incidents where trained and appropriate

Requirements

Essential:

• Valid SIA Security Licence
• Basic DBS check
• Full UK driving licence
• Must be 21 years of age or over (due to company vehicle insurance requirements)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good IT and report-writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible, reliable, and professional approach
